The LV METRO PD has been holding people for long illegal times with no charges and no bail. One person in particular I know, named Rachel has been held for 2 years now. She is the victim of a family vendetta with false charges.


Also the LV Review Journal is now "investigating" the unlawful murders by the Metro Police, over 200 in the last few years. Many of them unarmed. Of course the PD always says they are justified for the officer's safety.

I absolutely agree that no one has a right to a job. I got into this because so many people I know have lost their homes and had their job downsized. Everyone knows what they individually did wrong, but there are too many to ignore outside factors. I miss the mom and pop stores that were always my customers. (I repaired cash registers) Yes a lot of people have their own agenda and thats okay with me. What the banks did is more than enough to at least investigate. I do not agree that corporations are people, people have to search their souls once in a while. Lately most people have joined in because of the response our government has made. We have the right to peacefully protest.

 

I lived in Las Vegas back in the mid 80's the LV Review Journal has done a lot of good reporting. Las Vegas used to be run by gangsters and the feds could not get them out. Seems once the corporations turned their eye that way it wasn't long before they got the gangsters out.

Governments know how to deal with leaders, military and various policing forces know very well how to deal with violence. This is why OWS does not have leaders and stays peaceful. Their message and solution have been there from the start.


End corporate personhood.
Punish the bankers that committed fraud.


Weather you vote republican or democrat it really doesn't matter, both parties are in the pocket of the 1%. We can put pressure on the politicians we have and the ones that will come. Many incumbents have their entire self worth wrapped up in being a politician and will place their own ego over the money the 1% will offer. Vote for those who will come out and state that they are for ending corporate personhood and investigating banker fraud, better yet, vote for those that start doing something now. Write your representative today. Get out to a protest in your area. Not just in the United States but all around the world.

 

One of the reasons the Tea Party was so successful and was able to influence the last election cycle was because they were completely nonviolent. Some people agreed with them and some disagreed with them depending on their political philosophy. But the Tea Party wasn't out there burning, smashing and assaulting.

The OWS protesters need to get their violent elements under control if they ever hope to garner widespread support. The majority of protesters, who we are told are non violent, should welcome these police crackdowns on the violent elements within their ranks. They will never accomplish their goals, whatever those may be, if they continue the violence.

 

Some of the people who are violent are being incited by professionals, lol

Others are just clueless losers with no jobs who want to believe in something and stand up for it, in the hopes that it will make them special.

But 99% of the 99%ers are there with a purpose, protesting peacefully, and accept getting arrested in the hopes that their court cases will set precedent for the future.


I love it that Republicans despise the Occupy members so much. Didn't their own "Jesus" say something about the meek inheriting the Earth? I guess their silly prophecy is repeating itself, lmao

 

I have yet to see any credible video of violence on the part of OWS protesters. Refusing to do what policemen tell you to do is not violence. Disrupting a meeting is not violence. Camping in a park is not violence.

 

According to the government, just showing up is violence, meaning they are going to do whatever it takes to stop them from exposing government corruption

 

I saw lots of violence on the part of Tea Party Members including one organizer stepping on a woman's neck. I also saw Tea Party members threaten violence. And Tea Party members carried loaded guns to public meeting so you're really just bullshitting about the non-violent tea party.

Which incidentally now has a lower approval rating than the Occupy Protesters do.
