When I joined I was told not to "derail" other people's threads, so instead of turning Ice Truckers into Nail Polish and other Girly things, I thought I would just make my own thread.

My very own thread about Nails.... I love it!

I love having my nails done (what girl doesn't). So I change themes, designs all the time. Sometimes I have seasonal or holiday designs or just a plain color.

The other day I saw a woman with "minions" on her nails, so that is what I am doing next. I couldn't get a picture, but this is about what they looked like although I want all five fingers characters!

 

Is that why you had a short ban?

 

if derailing threads is ban-able DL should have been banned years ago.....

True story

My wife and I go shopping for groceries on the weekends.
I know, that makes me some kind of "domesticated" but the truth is, going with her allows for several good things to happen;
1) I pick out the steaks. She insists on these lean rubbery things if left to her own. You know, the healthy steaks.
2) I get the right beer. She is most likely to just forget it all together. Or buy wine.
3) She can't buy all that shit she'll buy if I'm there to sneak it back onto the shelf when she isn't looking.

So anyway, this one weekend, we had a pretty tight schedule. We had to get the shopping done and get the stuff put away because we had a thing to go to. An important thing, and we had to be prompt.

So we're checking out, and everything is on schedule, and the wife spots the checkers nails. Some gaudy color with this design in it. Ugly, if you ask me, but no one did. So the wife and the checker start this conversation about where they get their nails done, and what they like better; gel or something else, and how much it costs and before I know it, my wife is taking her shoes and socks off to show her pedicure.
Really.
I mean, the hell. Even if we weren't on a schedule, do women really care enough to actually show their pedicures in a grocery store? Wrong on so many levels.
Time is passing. I'm getting older. My subtle comments about we gotta get going were being ignored.
So we were late, the damn Ice Cream leaked all over my pants and the carpet in the trunk, and my wife was seriously pissed at me for a couple days.

It seems in addition to women really liking to talk about manicures and pedicures, they consider it boorish behavior for the husband to quip "while you're at it, why don't you show her your hysterectomy scar?"

It seems a certain mod's definitions and mine differ. Problem is, he has the upper hand in this situation. If I could tell you what happened, or where I think he can put his birds, I would. But apparently that too is against the rules.

Ooh, those are so cute! I don't know if the raised moving eye would be cute or annoying after awhile thought.... hmmmm. I guess it's a good thing that I change them every week or so.

Yeah.......No.

I keep my hair short, nails trimmed short and buffed, any hair from below my eyes to my toes gone (laser gone), and at most wear mascara never any other makeup for a very good reason. I'm about go, not show. Now that doesn't mean you can't be clean and neat, yet besides having not been raised learning such things, the first time I saw a gal flip over her hands and under her nails it was packed with food from two days before that was it....There was no way they were even going in my ass let alone my twat.

Seriously icks me out and I've seen it more than once....and the second someone says to me "it might mess up my nails, my hair, makeup, etc." I'm put off. My lifestyle by their choice slaves even I keep the same way...Short boi cuts, laser neat, short nails and little to no makeup.

Honestly however, if I could grow a dick it would be perfect.....So that might have something to do with it.

I hear you @Hush. I have seen some stunning women with what on some women would be a harsh look, but on them (their bone structure, etc.) it's incredibly beautiful. My best friend is a chef so she works in hot kitchens all day. She has almost a crew cut, and rarely wears make-up. Yet she is so naturally beautiful that she doesn't need it anyway.

While I do a lot to get the "made up" look I like, to get ready in the morning, it takes no more than 20 minutes from getting into the shower to getting dressed. I am not one of those women that spend hours in front of a mirror. For one thing, I don't have the time, for another, I totally don't have the inclination. I don't even know where my hair dryer is, never mind use it on a daily basis.

I do have to do things to be able to rush through the morning routine though. I have tattooed eyeliner, extension eyelashes and highlights in my naturally wavy jaw-line cut "wash, scrunch & go" hair style. The only thing I put on, and not everyday is lipstick, and it's always a matte finish.

As for my nails, food under them.... Ewwww! I would rather have no nails then ever have 'funk' stuck underneath. Yes I am girly about them. But I still garden, play sports, etc. If I break one, well, that just means an earlier trip to get a new design/ color.

Anyone that hasn't had a pedicure doesn't know what the're missing! This includes guys BTW. Every time I'm at my salon, I see at least one man and sometimes more. So guys, there is NO EXCUSE for nasty nails!
