Where would you most like to spend your time? And why?

 

How many of your old threads are you going regurgitate just worded a bit differently?

 

I've been a country boy my whole life and try to stay away from cities. I'm from Louisiana I know one thing for sure, New Orleans or Baton Rouge would be at the bottom of my list. I'll pick Little Rock Arkansas only because I've been there a couple times and I didn't see any assholes at that time.

 

Houston, Texas. Offers everything you would ever want. The most diverse population of any American city, more different countries represented in our restaurants, languages spoken and businesses. Considered the best city for business... and the best mountains (OK, they're freeway over-passes), the prettiest beaches (OK, so Galveston beaches don't quite meet the standard), the best roads (if you like driving the craters of the moon), the best wildlife (I mean, who can beat giant cockroaches, fire ants and opossums?)

 

None here, if I were younger, I love Rio, that's a really fun city, but you have to be careful like many big cities, a couple in Thailand, Berlin in the summer, but as far as fun here in the USA...nah...

 

If I could afford it I would like to live in New York City. It has a large number of several minorities I like: Jews, Chinese, and Italians. New York City also has the amenities I associate with civilization: theaters, libraries, book stores, museums, art galleries, and atmospheric restaurants and taverns.

San Francisco and Washington, DC are also high on the list. The San Francisco Bay area has more ethnic diversity than the District of Columbia. I like diversity as long as it is voluntary or based on merit. I like ethnic restaurants, ethnic stores, and ethnic festivals. I oppose affirmative action.

I do not want to live in a small town in the South where everyone is white.

It depends on what I’m looking for. NYC for the energy. Chicago for the balance of energy and cleanliness. Laguna Beach for the canyons and ocean.

But in Europe, I still love Amsterdam though because I think it’s the most beautiful night city in the world!

 

OK you finally answered a question of your own......for me it is a toss up......I worked alot in Memphis and I know and love the town inside out and black and white.........Dutchman's privelige.......and yes I ventured across the river a few times!

....but Ashville, North Carolina has so many fond memories and great company that I would have to say......yes I could live there!

Spent a lot of time in the states but always working!

It is the The Mile High City, Denver CO. I grew up in Arkansas as a young teen. Moved to Colorado at 16 and never left. It's so crowded now but there is plenty do do for anyone. I am going to meet a naughty person for some fun right now.
