Rem did the art change because he needed something to fill dead dev time because he loses supporters whenever there's not something to give progress reports about and he's still chained to KP for now. It's a stupid change, but it's even more stupid to assume any dev would implement an option like that, especially when it's not a backwards compatible change.

And, again, you're using the word "constantly" for a game that barely ever gets updated.
also rather than just fill the dead dev time, i think it its because his artstyle changed overtime so maybe he didnt want to use the old assests for the p cup dlc cause the difference in art style

Guys, you can install P Cup DLC via Vortex to try out new descension modes. Descension is updated via Steam itself, but you need P Cup DLC to activate it. You do not need to switch Karryn's perfectly shaped bonkers to that monstrosity.
Did go there did see it or know how to download it

Yeah like I'm going to re-read 2000 comments seriously now, oh that's a pity I was hoping that artists would keep original content, your not an artist if you don't keep original content by the time the game finished, only good developers add both content in at the very least by the end of the game's release for a future patch, did they mention this?

Really now I can stick with the older version of the game? Another one stating obvious no shit sherlock lol You ask one question in this forum you get some people making a big deal out of it, simply say nope no updates and developer probably won't do it in game, sorry. To which I would reply, Ah thanks anyways m8.
You're the one making a big deal out of getting the correct answer to your question, sorry that it's just such a "no shit sherlock thing" for you that you had to ask your question about it even if you seemed to think that it was obvious...

PLEASE anyone give me full 100 save and then help with folder location
I was going to say "for the thousandth time..." but that ain't gonna cut it.
This game has no gallery and some scenes you cannot re-experience, also the build you get from a save could be something you really do not like/want, so it's a moot point to ask for a save, unless you just like shooting yourself on a foot.

To be fair downloading previous versions for old art style back is legit. Rem didnt add anything to the game ever since and will never, you dont and wont miss miss a thing, literally.

Unless you are among both the group of 10 people who looking forward for p cup, and the group of another 10 enjoying the news art style. then my condolences.

A bit of a fan betrayal but yeah, happens all the time: Game starts out good with an audience, then devs tries to reach new audiences at the expense of their current ones.

In their eyes, those who already bought the game is real worthless in comparison to those who havent, it's not like they gonna buy the game the 2nd time.

And there objective isnt to make a good game or having a moral ground, but to make more money.

And Porn devs are know the least for their morality.

Not to mention customers of anything porn related is, what I can say is, very generous, forgiving, and tolerant, faithful and fanatical to anyone who can draw naked women.

Game was probably updated more than a few hundred times ever since version 1.0 came out.
Bugfixes aren't updates.

The only "updates" the game's gotten in over a year have been the DLCs and the drawn out art change. Oh, and a tiny irrelevant number tweak and cheat to stop gaining passives last year.
also rather than just fill the dead dev time, i think it its because his artstyle changed overtime so maybe he didnt want to use the old assests for the p cup dlc cause the difference in art style
Sachinama's style never changed, Remtairy was the one who wanted Karryn to be redesigned. And it's mostly AI work that Sachinama's touching up.

Rem stopped being subtle about his treatment of the game for a while now. It's just a source of revenue to him these days.

Fun fact: Counting up all the entries on SteamDB's "Patch Notes" page for the base app, there have been 552 patches (non-public patches excluded [if any]) at the time of this post.

Bugfixes, patches, builds, releases, etc. They are all just a different size of update, with the terms quite often used interchangeably.

Pretty bold claim when Sachinama directly said, that his style changed. He releasized that while he was working on additional face expressions and since Rem was in his "uh I have to play board games to get ideas for my next game" phase, he decided to rework all of the art while he was doing the p-cup dlc anyway.

Also another random "oh its AI" claim without any proof to back it up. Let me guess "Its obvious since it looks AI". Love it.

The game is already a finished feature complete package from front to end which is more than 98% of western eroge can say. And it's a pretty good one with unique mechanics and play styles that marry the concept of "corruption" into the game design itself.

At the very least it was clearly a passion product with a lot of thought and heart put into it. I don't really understand why people are so harsh just because their favorite fetishes and outfits aren't included or they don't like having to actually play a game in an erotic GAME.

For many people, there is a problem with lvl 4 being completely empty from the edicts/sidejobs perspective and lvl 5 is not even a thing, thus giving an unfinished smell to the game. The first 3 levels came out in 2019-2020 iirc, then we got Karryn's restyling, pubes, gym, h-cup and p-cup dlc's in the span of next 4 years.
It feels like we could get actual gameplay in 4 whole years, eh?

The developer should make the empress ending canon, and make a sequel called Karryn's castle, and start the process all over again, maybe add some spooky supernatural elements, because, reasons.
The emperor wants to restore the original imperial palace, but it's infested with ghosts and monsters. So Empress Karryn goes in to subdue or seduce the inhabitants into cooperation.

Manual mod install for KP is in fact much easier as it's a 1 step thing compared to a mod manager which you need to learn to use and has many steps in order to set it up correctly.
How many steps takes an installation process is irrelevant
Less steps doesnt mean more user friendly and the length of the installation process has nothing to do with the point im making
You dont need to learn anything special to make a mod manager work since it installs like any other program and setting it up is incredibly easy(in MO2's case it literally tells you what to do once you open it)
In the remote case you need help with it there are plenty of video guides for mod managers(in case you dont want to read)
You're not recommending a 1 step install for newbies because of your assumption that they "need to know what they're doing"?
All they need to know is to either DragNDrop the mods into the base-game or extract it directly into it. There's nothing more to it than that for KP.
And you have the assumption that a newbie to karryn's prison modding already knows that
At best he might know how to download the game, extract it and run it
So even if knows how to extract the mod he doesnt know or has a precise idea of where to extract it,how to be certain that the mod is working, and how to remove it safely
A mod manager takes care of all of that because it does automatically the process for the user which only has to click "install mod" on the mod manager(which again is as easy as running a program)
Another assumption of yours is that it may cause issues later on? If you somehow fuck up a 1 step installation that even my grandma can do, that's completely on you. :KEK:
Or the hypothetical user can just avoid this case altogether by using a mod manager since it does the installation for him:KEK:
But, a mod manager can cause more issues for newbies if they "don't know what they're doing"
At worst they can install the wrong mod or patch but it doesnt break their game and even if it does the problem lies in the mod(which can be safely removed) not in the mod manager
one of the common things I've seen them complain about is their saves being gone after they use mod manager or that the mod manager isn't detecting their game at all.
And most of the complaints I've seen when people used manual installation for mods on KP ranged from the mods not working after installing them to having to redo a clean installation because of the the issues caused from the incorrect installation/uninstallation
So in comparison a mod manager is much less hazardous to your game
And I've already said this, most issues people face regardless of their installation method are due to version mismatch, missing dependency or a bug with the mod or game itself.
What problems people have with their game regardless of the installation method are not related to anything im saying
So this is completely irrelevant to the topic
You couldn't even show me a single conflicting mod
There was no need to
Im talking about recommending an installation method not how to solve conflicts or which mods could conflict with each other
So again this has nothing to do with the point im making
all you mentioned was a lack of mod compatibility in the past on a mod that hasn't even been officially updated for years.
That mention was simply to explain one of the features of MO2
If that incompatibility is recent or remote has no relevancy to the explanation I was giving
it's an issue with the mod itself which doesn't require a mod manager to figure things out nor does it make it any easier on this game with how the mods work.
A mod manager makes far easier to remove the mod safely and with a single click in the mod manager instead of having to directly remove it from wherever it's stored
